Meet the Team

 

Our Lovely Treatment Coordinator

Upon arriving in our office each and every time, you will be pleasantly greeted by Samantha Read, our front office/treatment coordinator. She has been in the dental field since 2004, and absolutely loves what she does.

Samantha was born and raised in a small town located on the Sacramento River, and has never ventured far from home since. She went to Christian Brothers High School in the mid 1990's and then attended Sacramento City College focusing on Child Education, as well as Business Management. After college, Samantha decided to settle down and start her family in the heart of downtown Sacramento, where she still resides.

Samantha has a very kind heart and loves to help others. It has been a passion of hers to find a career in which she is able to assist those in need, as well as having a lasting impression on their health and well being. Since she has been in the dental field, she feels as though she is on her way to accomplishing her goal. Samantha is always here to help you bring out your happy and beautiful smiles.

The #1 Hygienist in Roseville

Debi Duey, our hygienist, has been on staff in this office since 1991 (wow, this was before Dr. Chang even became a dentist). She was born and raised in Walnut Creek, and earned her dental hygiene degree from Diablo Valley College. In 1984, Debi and her husband Lee started a new family, and moved to Rocklin, where they still happily call home.

Debi enjoys her abundance of free time (since her children are all grown and out on their own) with travelling, photography, hiking and gardening.

One of Debi's greatest joys in life is the close relationships she has nurtured with many of her patients. She looks forward to forging more meaningful relationships and meeting many new friends in the future.

 

The Always Smiling Registered Dental Assistant

Introducing our wonderful, spanish speaking dental assistant, Jovita T. Sharp. She was born and raised here in Sacramento, went to Hiram Johnson High School, and completed her college education at Sacramento City College.

Happily married since 1979, Jovita and her husband raised their two sons in Oregon. Being the great daughter that she is, her mother's poor health brought Jovita back to the sunshine state (she still misses the rain to this day).

Jovita has 26 years of dental experience in both the front office and as a dental assistant. She enjoys working with people of all ages, which explains her previous job as a certified nurses aid (CNA) and a licensed daycare. So, it is safe to say that everyone will enjoy Jovita's presence, from the little children in their first dental visit to the senior citizens.

When not at work, you can always find Jovita and her husband out on a dance floor somewhere. The type of music they enjoy includes old school, top 40, hip hop, country, and of course Latin music.

About Dr. Chang

"Nothing short of excellence" is Dr Kevin Chang's approach to everything in life.

Dr. Chang attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he received two degrees; a B.A. in Biology, and a minor in Business Administration. While there, he was president of the Pre-Dental Society, captain of the football team, and co-published a paper on arthropod biomechanics (research for robots to walk on Mars; and yes, long and close contact with cockroaches helped him realize that one's life can be more meaningful working with people instead).

Dr. Chang received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco. He did his associateship in San Francisco for a few years, and ultimately moved to Roseville with his wife Brooke, in 2001. They both enjoy the community immensely and are looking to start their family here.

With his philosophy of "every patient keeps his/her teeth until 99 years old," Dr. Chang strives constantly to improve his dental skills and techniques. You will often hear him say,"keeping your teeth for life is a much more difficult and daunting task than doing the latest trends and fads." How true.

When Dr. Chang's head isn't buried in his Roseville dental office working, he enjoys going to the auto track as both a spectator and participant.

Dr. Kevin Chang and his carefully selected team are very personable, and they treat every patient with the utmost care and respect.
